Research Foundation Board Member Timothy J. Lawrence

Dr. Tim Lawrence is a retired Colonel in the US Air Force serving 33 years with a PhD in satellite engineering. His research and having swum the English Channel led him to being named the Jaycees Top 10 outstanding young persons of the world in 2001. He has deployed to Afghanistan, taught, conducted research, and had leadership positions in Academia at the United States Air Force Academy and Air Force Institute of Technology. In his last role, he was the Director of the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate in Rome, NY, supervising 2,200 personnel and managing a $1.6B annual budget. A fellow in the Royal Aeronautical Society, and chair of the Florida Institute of Technology Aerospace Engineering Advisory Board, he enjoys swimming in the ocean and spending time with his family. All three of his children were born in Rome, NY.

Dr. Lawrence serves on the Finance Committee.
