Rich Agnello - Interim General Counsel and Secretary

Rich Agnello has been with the Research Foundation since 2008. In his role as Deputy General Counsel, he has overseen the day-to-day management of the RF’s legal affairs, including transactional matters, litigation, and regulatory compliance. He has advised senior leadership on a wide range of legal and operational issues, including federal, state, and private sponsored programs, technology protection and licensing, procurement, and research compliance. Rich also served as Assistant Secretary to the RF Board of Directors.

As of July 2025, the RF Board has elected Rich to the position of Interim General Counsel and Secretary, where he will continue to provide strategic legal guidance and leadership across the organization.
