Kerry Gilchrist - Interim Vice President of Internal Audit Services
Kerry Gilchrist has been a member of the RF audit team since January 2015 and was appointed Interim Vice President of Internal Audit Services in April 2023. As the RF’s Interim Vice President for Internal Audit, she oversees and directs the independent appraisal of RF operations to minimize risk, support the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of corporate records and reports. She acts as a consultant with all levels of management on matters of risk, control and compliance and reports through the Audit Committee of the RF Board of Directors. She serves all the State University of New York campus locations that have research or innovation activity.
Ms. Gilchrist has over 18 years of audit experience, including internal, external and compliance auditing. Before joining the RF, Ms. Gilchrist was a Senior Auditor at Alexander W. Cruden & Co., CPA’s in Albany, NY. In this role, she performed external audits, reviews and compilation engagements, as well as, compiled tax returns for businesses, nonprofits and individuals. Ms. Gilchrist took lead auditor responsibilities on several of these engagements.
Ms. Gilchrist is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Association of College and University Auditors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the College of Saint Rose.
