Research Support Specialist, University at Buffalo
Why I want to be a Protege:
I am hoping to gain more guidance and understanding of being a researcher and also the ability to make connections not only at the University at Buffalo but with brilliant minds at various universities in the SUNY system.
This past May I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a degree BS in Biological Sciences. I was hired in late July as a Research support Specialist in the department of Behavioral medicine on UB south campus. I was a Research Assistant under Principal Investigator, Dr. Biondiollo with Dr. Epstein's Pediatrics disease unit of the Jacob School of medicine last fall and spring. I am so honored to have been able to come back and officially work in the lab and I have already learned so much. I am still figuring out my post bachelors' journey and this experience has helped narrow down what I like and see myself doing in the future. I want to work with people and help improve their lives either medically or financially.
To gain a better undserstanding of the SUNY research system, make more connections in the SUNY system, help improve conditions.
