Contracts Manager, University at Buffalo
Why I want to be a Protege:
To learn more about RF Central processes, people, and culture.
One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to crew on my friends' sailboat-- we race on Thursday nights, conditions always vary, and we cannot do anything successfully unless we operate as a team. That is an apt metaphor for working on contracts in the Tech Transfer office at UB. I'm a transactional/corporate attorney working to resolve issues and "get to yes" so our PIs can do their research--or we can announce another successful BIG partnership. By way of background, I graduated from UB Law in 2004, GW University with an MA in American History in 1997 and Trinity College with a BA in English in 1989. Outside of work, I love being with my family, laughing with friends, sailing, and giving back to my community through service (UBLaw Alumni Association Board; Niagara Frontier Corporate Counsel Association; Buffalo Canoe Club).
Long term: represent RF/SUNY in diverse matters; intermediate/short term: continue to develop my leadership skills and grow within the organization.
