RFP IT Managed Services

The Research Foundation for SUNY (RF) is currently under contract with a third party to provide some IT Managed Services. Services include operational and project related services. This contract expires on June 30th, 2024. The existing managed services agreement provides IT related services across the following functional areas:

  1. Data Center Services: Maintenance & Support of Linux Servers
  2. Customer Services: Call Center & Incident Management
  3. Networking Services: Maintenance & Support of LAN/WAN
  4. Desktop Support Including Peripherals: Desktop Support Services
  5. Windows Server Support: Maintenance & Support of Windows Servers
  6. Voice, Video, & VoIP Services: MS Teams, Telephony, Conferencing, Zoom
  7. IT Security Operations: Support of IT Security Operations

IT services are mainly provided, but not limited to about 150 employees at 35 State Street, Albany, NY and two data centers located in Albany, N.Y. Customer Services are also provided to SUNY campuses abroad as it relates to application access to the RF’s business systems.

The goal of this RFP is to solicit bids and select vendors to transition applicable services prior to contract expiration. Vendors are not required to bid on all service areas and may choose to bid on areas that best align with their expertise and service portfolio.
