Research Foundation Board Member Virginia C. Gregg
Virginia C. Gregg had a distinguished 35-year career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, serving as Vice President for Finance & Chief Financial Officer for 20+ years prior to retiring July 1, 2018. At Rensselaer, she had responsibility for the Institute’s budget, financial reporting, pre and post sponsored research management, audit, enterprise risk management, and investments. She served on the audit, finance and investment committees of the Board of Trustees.
She began her career as a certified public accountant with the international accounting firm Ernst & Whinney, now known as Ernst & Young. Mrs. Gregg attended Northwestern University, completing her B.A. in English Literature and a M.S. in accounting at State University of New York at Albany.
Mrs. Gregg serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Greater Capital Region. She also serves as a reading tutor for Wizard’s Wardrobe, a non-profit organization serving Albany’s inner city. She serves as a volunteer accreditor for Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Mrs. Gregg is a deacon at Loudonville Presbyterian Church and lives in Loudonville, New York.
