Mentored By:

Why I want to be a Protege:
I really want to work on becoming a better manager and learn. I'd like to move forward with my career over time and continue to make strides in my work. I think the mentoring program will help me hone my skills and give me tools to be the best I can be in my position.

Personal Statement:
Before my time here at New Paltz I made functional pottery for a living. I loved it but once having kids I was burnt out. I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 7 month old that keep me very busy. My husband and I purchased a foreclosed home last fall and we've been diligently working on making it our home. Its been a lot of hard work but really rewarding and even fun!

Goals:
Short term I would like to grow within my current position. I'm about a year and a half in so I would really like to get to the point where I have almost complete confidence in my ability to fulfill my duties. Eventually I would like to move to another sect of my dept. in Sponsored Programs so I can learn more about pre-award and HR especially.
