Benefits Administrator, RF Central Office
Specialites: Benefits Administration
Why I want to be a mentor:
I think its important to pay if forward. I am lucky to have a boss who has been an amazing mentor and without her I don't think I would be where I am today. She has taken me out of my comfort zone and empowered me to be the best I can be.
I attended the College of St. Rose and have a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in HR. I have worked for the Research Foundation for 13 years. I began my career here as a temp in the payroll department then transitioned to a permanent position in account receivable. I later applied for a position in HR within the benefits department. I am still in the benefits department and have moved through several different roles. I am also a mom of a 6 year old named Gavin and he is keeps me very busy and makes me happy everyday.
I think that is so one of the most important things you will do as a leader. The team who supports you is directly linked to your own success and the success of your organization. I am extremely committed to the development of everyone on my team and invested in their success.
Commitment to Diversity:
The most recent example would be the growth of one of my direct reports. She was recently promoted. Over the past year, I helped her to set goals and achieve those goals by developing her skills and helping her to be confident to achieve what she sets out to do. I am extremely proud of how far she has come and I will continue to be committed to further growth and development for her as well as the other members of my team.
