SUNY Pre-Award and Compliance System (PACS)

Project Overview

SUNY PACS is a multi-year collaborative project that will result in the implementation of the online "Click Portal" solution.  This solution will support principal investigators, students, and compliance and research administration staff by automating the submission, review, approval, and ongoing management of all major aspects of the research administration and compliance lifecycle.  It will allow participating SUNY campuses to achieve a new level of uniformity and efficiency, while producing valuable data analytics to guide future business decisions.

The primary project goals are to:

  • Reduce the administrative burden on SUNY researchers so they can devote their time to research; and
  • Assist SUNY campuses to generate a higher volume of quality, compliant, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary grant proposals.

The SUNY PACS project is being governed by a Steering Committee, Project Leadership Committee, and several specialized subcommittees.  These committees and subcommittees include representatives from 14 SUNY campuses and from RF Central Office.

For more detailed information about the project and its six modules - including the exciting progress to date - please see the latest SUNY PACS newsletter or visit the SUNY PACS myRF page.  (If you do not have access to the SUNY PACS myRF page, please send an e-mail request to Customer Services.)
