Professional Support / Learning and Development

Mentoring:  Tracey Canfield, Central Office

Why I want to be a Mentor:

"To watch someone grow beyond their own expectations and truly realize what they are capable of."

Personal Statement:

"After being locked into a support position for 25 years, two years ago I made a career shift into HR and ultimately into Learning and Development; this has paired my skills with my desire to help others. My passion is watching others shine and realize their own inner strengths and helping them to grow.  I'm an empty nester who enjoys live music and cooking in my free time."

"I strongly believe that sharing our strengths and gifts with others is the best way to give back.  I have found encouraging and helping people to stretch beyond what they think they can do is extremely rewarding.  Most times, these people realize they are capable of much more than they think they are! So rewarding to be part of that growth, and see others shine."

Commitment to Diversity:

"I strive to be consistently involved in various design teams and search committees.  Also, working in L&D has enabled me to connect with our campus colleagues and the participants of past programs. This helps me to stay connected and hands-on in people's professional development."
