KBACE Payroll Register Report

Description

Purpose

The KBACE Payroll Register Report includes a Pivot Table that has a total by element classification for the current payroll. The first work sheet is Employee Counts. The second work sheet is Payroll Register. Also available on drill down are all employees paid under the report element and the associated values.

Frequency

This report can be viewed after the preliminary and final payroll run.

Understanding the Output

This is a Pivot Table report is an interactive table that combines and compares large amounts of data. You can rotate its rows and columns to see different summaries of the source data and you can display the details for areas of interest.

Fields at the top of the spreadsheet can be used to create summarized subsets of information. By clicking on the arrow next to a field you can select a specific value to be used to summarize the data in the report.

Note: The field selected to summarize data can be moved into the table pivot table report.

To drill down to the detail data, double click on a field in the summarized pivot table to see the detail data.

Name

Description of Column

Organization

Specific location and specific department at the location to which the person is assigned. This is NOT the Operating Location Organization.

For example: 010-Small Business Development Center

Operating Location (People Group Flexfield-Segment1)

Operating location where the person works.

 

Mailstop

Delivery drop where paycheck or stub was delivered.

Employment Category

Employment Category

For example: Exempt - Regular, Hourly

 

Job Name

Job title.

Grade

Code identifying salary level.

Assignment Status

Status of person's relationship with the Research Foundation.

Examples: Active Assignment, SUNY Assignment, Paid Leave.

 

Payment Date

Date of payment.

Date Earned

End date of pay period.

Run Date

Payroll run date.

Action Type

Values:

  • R - Regular Payroll
  • Q - QuickPay

Name

Description

Payroll

Identifies the payroll run as either Biweekly or SUNY.

Worked hours

Reported hours paid during the pay period for hourly or non-exempt salaried employees.

Gross

Total gross pay for the selected summary option.

Regular Earnings

Total regular earnings for the selected summary option.

Supplemental Earnings

Total supplemental earnings for the selected summary options.

Imputed Earnings

Total imputed earnings.

Tax Deductions

Total amount withheld for taxes for the selected summary option.

PreTax Deductions

Total pretax deductions.

Voluntary Deductions

Total amount of voluntary deductions withheld for the selected summary option.

Involuntary Deductions

Total amount of involuntary deductions withheld for the selected summary option.

Net

Total net pay.

Name

Description

Payroll

Identifies the payroll run as either Biweekly or SUNY.

Person Name

Last name and first name (separated by a comma) of the person that was paid.

Last Name

Last name of the person that was paid.

First Name

First name of the person that was paid.

Middle

Middle initial of the person that was paid.

Title

Title that precedes the person's name.

For example: Mrs.

Social Security Number

Social security number of the person that was paid.

Date of Hire

Date employee began working at the Research Foundation.

Assignment Number

System generated employee number used as a unique identifier of a person whose record is in the Research Foundation Oracle business system.

Gender

Person's gender: Male or Female.

Mailstop

Employment Category

Employment category as entered in the Assignment form.

Examples: Exempt - Regular, Hourly

Grade

Code identifying salary level.

Job Name

Job title as entered in the Assignment form.

Assignment Status
