View Custom Eligibility Table

Use these instructions to to view the benefits eligibility history before you enter a recurring element to enroll a person in a benefits plan.

When completing the Oracle forms referenced in this procedure, note that a white field indicates optional entry or one that is conditional based on the particular process.

  1. Benefits are tied to recurring elements that must be entered into the system. These recurring elements should be entered on or date tracked to the person's Coverage Date for that benefit.
  2. Navigate to Benefits >Employee Benefit Eligibility to go to the Benefits Eligibility form.
  3. Hit the F11 key to enter data into this form.
  4. As needed, enter the following fields:

    Field Name

    Required (R) or Optional (O)

    Description

    SSN

    O

    The social security number of the person.

    Employee Number

    O

    The employee number of the person.

  5. Hit the control and F11 keys to display the person's benefits eligibility.
  6. As needed, review any of the following fields:

    Field Name

    Benefit Plan

    O

    Element name that identifies the benefit.

    Start Date

    O

    Person's hire date.

    Qualifying Date

    O

    Date qualified for benefit enrollment or start of waiting period.

    Coverage Date

    R

    Date coverage takes effect.

    Benefits that have a waiting period should be entered on this date. Benefits are entered a recurring elements.

    Eligibility Status

    O

    Current eligibility status.

    Termination Date

    O

    Date a person has ended a relationship with the Research Foundation.

    Extension Date

    O

    End date of a terminated person's benefits.

    Return Date

    O

    Date a terminated person is changed to an Active Assignment Status.
