Save and Import a Custom KBACE Template

Use this procedure to save and import a customized Excel template to be used with KBACE Kube Manager.

Prerequisites

• The KBACE Manager must be installed on your local PC or available on your terminal server.
• The data file must be downloaded from the Web and saved to a folder you have access to.
• The Excel spreadsheet must be displayed using the steps outlined in the process help "Review Payroll Data in the KBACE Kube Manager."
• The payroll Kube you will be using this template with must be active.

To save and import a custom KBACE template

1. Make all required changes to the Excel spreadsheet.
2. Select File > Save As from the menu at the top of the screen to go to the Save As form.
3. Complete the following fields in the following order:

   Field Name	Required (R) or Optional (O)	Description
   Save as type:	R	Click on the arrow and select Template (*.xlt).
   Save in:	R	Click on the arrow and navigate to the folder where the customized template should be saved. Click to select the folder. Note: Ensure you document which folder the customized template is saved in.
   File Name:	R	Enter a file name for the customized template.

4. Click Save. A Microsoft Excel warning screen will display.
5. Click Yes. You have saved the template and are ready to import it into the KBACE Kube Manager. The Kube Manager window is displayed.
6. Click on My Templates on the left side of the screen.
7. Click Import Template to display the Import Template window.
8. Go to Look in: at the top of the screen, click on the arrow and navigate to the folder where the customized template was saved (location documented in step 3). Click to select the template file.
9. Click Open. The Kube Manager – My Templates window is displayed with the customized template listed. The template is now available for use with all future imported Kubes.
