Review Payroll Data in the KBACE Kube Manager

Use this procedure to review the payroll data through a KBACE Template after each payroll is run.

Prerequisites

To review the payroll data through a KBACE template

  1. Navigate to the location of the KBACE Manager on your local PC or terminal server > Import Kube.
  2. Navigate to Local Kubes > Import Kube to go to the Specify the KBX Kube file to Import window.
  3. Go to Look in: at the top of the screen, click on the arrow and navigate to the folder where the data file was downloaded and saved. Click to select the folder.
  4. Click to select the data file.
  5. Click Open. The Importing KBX Kube File... window will appear.
  6. When the data source is loaded, the Kube Security window will appear.
  7. Select the appropriate options:

    Option

    Description

    Anyone who uses this machine (name of

    computer)

    This option will make the Kube available to anyone who logs onto the computer that is being used.

    Only (name of computer)

    This option will make this Kube available only to the person who is currently logged onto the computer that is being used.

    Queue for fast Access

    This option will store the file in an unbundled status. We recommend this option. If you don't select it, every time you make this Kube active it will go through the process of unbundling. This could increase the amount of time spent moving between Kubes.

    Remove Kube from File System

     

    This option will remove the file from the location where it was saved when the file was imported into the Kube. We do not recommend this option because we recommend keeping a copy of this file on your server.

  8. Click OK to continue loading. You have now successfully loaded the Kube onto your computer and it is available for your use. The Kube Manager (Delivered Templates) screen is displayed.
  9. If you want to view a report with a Microsoft Excel template, go to step 13.
  10. If you want to view a report with a Microsoft Access template, click on Delivered Templates on the left side of the screen and then select KBACE Payroll Activity Report. The KBX Switch Board window will open in Access.
    1. If you want to include all records, select the Include All Entries radio button.
    2. If you want to select one employee, select the Filter By radio button. Click the arrow in the box for ONE of the following fields:
      1. Person Name and select the person's name.
      2. Social Security Number (SSN) and select the appropriate SSN.
      3. Assignment Number and select the appropriate assignment number.
  11. Click on Generate Report. This report can be printed by selecting File > Print from the menu at the top of the screen.
  12. You have completed the review of payroll data. If you wish to review additional payroll data, return to the KBACE Manager and go back to step 9.
  13. If you want to select the standard Delivered KBACE Template, click on Delivered Templates on the left side of the screen.
  14. If you want to select a saved custom template created and imported by you, click on My Templates on the left side of the screen.
  15. Select one of the items under the Microsoft Excel Template.
  16. The report will be displayed in Excel. To see further details on any of the line items, double-click on the dollar amount of the item.
  17. You may make changes to the template for future use. For instructions on saving a custom KBACE template, refer to the process help, Save and Import a Custom KBACE Template.
