Enter O*NET Occupation Name - Process Help (R12)

Use these instructions to enter an O*NET Occupation Name for an employee in the Oracle HR module.

Prerequisites

To enter an O*NET Occupation Name for an employee

  1. When making changes to a record in the Oracle Application, click Update to keep a history of the change or click Correction to fix an entry made in error.
  2. Navigate to People > Enter and Maintain, query employee number. On People form, navigate to Others > Other Campus Information.
    1. Place cursor in Details field. An Extra Person Information box appears.
    2. Click OK.
  3. Enter the following fields to enter an O*NET Occupation Name:

    Field Name

    Required (R) or Optional (O)

    Description

    Campus Location

    R

    The appropriate campus 3 digit identification number.

    Campus ID

    O

    Available for any campus-created identification number, not the 3 digit one from above. Free form field and not connected to the O*NET Occupation Name.

    ONET Occupation Name

    R

    This field is optional in that you don't need to enter a value to exit out of the screen, but strongly recommended for O*NET reporting requirements.

     

    The Occupational Information Network (O*NET) occupation names are derived from the US Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA) O*NET database. For annual New York State contractor reporting requirements.

  4. Click OK.
