Employee Lookup - Process Help (R12)

Use these instructions to determine the name of an employee based on his or her employee number. This process is helpful when you need to identify the person who last modified a record (Help > Record History).ha

Prerequisites

  1. You have access to the following forms that has the tool menu called Employee Lookup:
  2. Help>Record History - to obtain employee identification number.

To find the employee name using the employee lookup form

When completing the Oracle forms referenced in this procedure, note that a white field indicates optional entry or one that is conditional based on the particular process.

  1. Navigate to the Tools Menu to open the Employee Lookup form.
  2. In the top navigation menu, click View > Query By Example > Enter to return to the Employee Lookup form in query mode.
  3. Enter the following fields to query the employee name:

    Field Name

    Required (R) or Optional (O)

    Description

    Employee Number

    R

    Enter the employee number of the person you are trying to identify the employee name.

  4. Enter the employee number in the employee number field
  5. In the top navigation menu, click View > Query By Example > Run to return to the Employee Lookup form to view the Employee name.

Result

You have identified the employee name associated with an employee number.
