Testimonials
Audrey Bernstein & Tere Williams
Upstate Medical University
"S4 is the perfect resource for those interested in entrepreneurship. The subject matter is designed to get you thinking creatively about every aspect of the business--because the odds of your idea surviving truly requires thinking outside of the box. Importantly, the resource is fairly accessible and free, so you have everything to gain from these sessions."
Kambiz Ghazinour
SUNY Canton
"S4 is a great experience for faculty members to familiarize themselves with the basic concepts of entrepreneurship. It was an eye-opening experience for me to look at the commercialization process from a business perspective rather than the usual research process that I was used to."
Dominic LaVigne
University at Buffalo
"I loved the program, it was highly informative and inspiring for the next steps of my entrepreneurial journey. The diversity of speakers assisted with every aspect of my startup, and the staff was highly supportive. This program is very valuable for any new entrepreneur!"
Marisol Marcin
Binghamton University
"The SUNY Startup Summer School experience was a major milestone in my entrepreneurial path, blending enriching workshops, vital networking, expert mentorship, and an exciting pitch competition that collectively elevated my entrepreneurial journey."
Alexis Weber
University at Albany
"S4 allowed me to understand the importance of being able to “tell my story,” from the point of view of a business person. As a scientist, how I present the technology is unique from that of an entrepreneur, and this is not something I comprehended until I participated in S4."
Rong Zhao
Stony Brook University
“I don’t think that you can learn to be an effective entrepreneur from books alone. You have to really get your hands dirty and do it. S4 provides the structure, resources and, of course, the knowledge for you to actually become an entrepreneur.”
Team

S4 is led by a close-knit team of passionate professionals who are working together with SUNY’s campuses and partners to build a world-class entrepreneurial ecosystem.
They wake up every morning ready to crush it for the innovators they serve and truly believe entrepreneurship is a viable career path for SUNY students.
