Mentored By:

Why I want to be a Protege:
I was very excited when I started my new position (about 2 months ago) to see that there was a mentoring program, as I wanted to hit the ground running and absorb as much as I could about this work. While my network of Student Affairs mentors is strong, I knew that I would benefit from - and need - the wisdom of seasoned research administrators. I hope to establish a relationship with a mentor who is willing to share with me about their own professional journey and share candid feedback along the way with me.

Personal Statement:
Hello! I am brand new to the area of Research Administration, after spending the past 14 years in Student Affairs. I have a JD, which served me well in Student Affairs work (Residence Life, Student Conduct, Title IX), and I am loving continuing to put my legal education to use in my new position in research and sponsored programs. While my path to this area has been winding, I am excited about the future career opportunities within this field. In my free time with family, I enjoy hiking and snowshoeing the Adirondacks, watching Notre Dame football, and attempting to bake.

Goals:
1) Prepare for, and successfully pass CRA Examination when eligible.
2) Submit successful proposal to present at NCURA conference in future.
3) Transition into a Director role or compliance/ethics area.
