Why I want to be a mentor:
I was in the program as a protege when I first joined the RF, and it was such a valuable experience. I would like to help someone else pursue professional and personal growth.
I earned my degree from the University at Albany and spent the first part of my career in public accounting before joining the RF. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, traveling and spending time with my family. I'm in a running group and a golf league, and am currently dreaming about my next big trip.
I try my best to support people around me, just as I have been supported by others along the way. I am a volunteer board member and treasurer of a nonprofit where we serve individuals in need of rehabilitation from stroke, traumatic injury or disabling illness. I also volunteered for Girls on the Run, where we empower girls through a unique after-school program. While I value my own success, making a difference in other people's lives through kindness and support is what I value most.
Commitment to Diversity:
I believe it is important to have a supportive and inclusive workplace. When we are surrounded by people with diverse thoughts and experiences, we can come up with better ideas as a team. This also results in a more interesting and enjoyable work environment! I value my colleagues for their unique perspectives and strive to treat everyone with respect.
