2018-2019 Mentoring Program
The new mentoring class kick-off was held on September 14, 2018
The Mentoring Program is a professional development opportunity that matches knowledgeable mentors with RF staff looking to develop their talents and expertise in all areas of RF business.
Guided by our commitment to creating generations of future leaders, the program is modeled on the faculty-student mentor/protégé relationship. The ten-month curriculum includes:
- Professional Development Planning (Professional Development Worksheet)
- Public Speaking Mini-course
- Diversity & Inclusion Workshop
- Servant Leadership Session
- Facilitation & Presentation Skills
- Emotional Intelligence Workshop
This professional development opportunity extends to all RF/SUNY employees working in research administration (direct or indirect). Mentors and protégés are matched up from across the SUNY campuses and the RF Central Office. RF mentors and protégés are expected to meet monthly by phone, online or in-person.
